Research

My research involves quantifying the effect of human activities and global change on communities to inform conservation decisions. I have worked on projects assessing the impact of land use change on tropical freshwater fish communities globally, investigating how forest regeneration efforts and post-disturbance successional forest stage impact bird communities in the Ecuadorian Chocó rainforest, and examining the influence of vegetative structure on microclimate in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
